Bob-ombs (soms ook Bomb-ombs genoemd) zijn levende, bewegende mechanische bommen met ogen, voeten en een opwindmechanisme in hun rug. Het zijn gewone vijanden die voor het eerst verschenen in Super Mario Bros. 2 en sindsdien in bijna elke Mario-game voorkomen. Hun uiterlijk, intelligentie en relatie tot Mario verschillen sterk per spel. Ze zijn meestal blauw of zwart, maar sommige varianten zijn roze of rood. Ze knipperen ook rood en maken soms piepende geluiden als ze op het punt staan te ontploffen. Een veelvoorkomende verkeerde uitspraak van hun naam is Bomb-omb, maar zo worden ze in geen enkele officiële Mario-game genoemd.

The wind-up key on the back is a nice touch, and the whole thing is just the right size to sit on my desk without getting knocked over. It's unbelievably squishy for a six-inch figure, and the paint job on the eyes is surprisingly clean for something this small.
