My Game Boy Color finally feels brand new again—the buttons have that nice, firm snap they had back in the day. I was a little nervous about fitting them, but the silicone is cut perfectly and seated into the shell without any fuss.
The d-pad on my old GBC felt like mush before, but these silicone pads snapped right into place and now every diagonal press registers crisply. My thumb actually glides across the surface instead of sticking to the worn rubber. Solid replacement for a twenty-year-old console.
I was honestly dreading taking my GBC apart, but these silicone pads fit perfectly and the d-pad feels crisp again, not like the stiff replacement I tried before. The A and B buttons have that same soft, responsive press I remember from childhood.
